TO THE SEA

Brighton16 is a chamber choir of experienced choral singers from across Sussex who aim to perform chamber choir works to the very highest standards. Their conductor Matt has put together an a cappella programme exploring maritime legends, featuring twentieth century English composers Holst, Vaughan Williams, Parry, Delius, Burke, Andrews, Ireland and Grainger, and including Silence, a piece written by Orlando Gough, commissioned by LFoS and performed for the first time here in 2018.

Matt has also included an astounding Finnish work, Mäntyjärvi’s ‘Canticum Calamitatis Maritimae’.
