Ellen and Archie won First Prizes for a singer and for a pianist, as well as the Best Duo, in the Ashburnham English Song Awards in 2024.
Among many other prizes, Ellen won the Ferrier Loveday Song Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards this year. She is a Britten-Pears Young Artist and an Oxford International Song Young Artist and has performed major roles for Opera Holland Park.
Archie is a Britten- Pears and Shipston Song Young Artist, and was pianist for Wigmore Hall’s French Song Exchange in 2024. He is currently a Collaborative Piano Fellow at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London
Ellen writes: ‘Our programme explores the changes in us as we grow older, tracking our journey through childhood innocence to teenage rebellion, becoming older and searching for that innocence and happiness once again’.
They perform songs by Fauré, Chaminade, Chausson, Hahn, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Satie, Lehmann, Brahms, Strauss, Mahler, Schubert, Barber and Britten.
